Time To Get Your Tax Return In!

The deadline for filing your 2004 Return is 31st January 2005, but see our Tax Tips for reasons why you might want to fill it by the end of this month. Returns received by the Inland Revenue after 31st January may be subject to a £100 late filing penalty. There are also interest charges and surcharges for tax paid late.

We can only guarantee preparing your Return and calculating your tax liability in good time if we receive all the necessary information by the 31st October 2004.

We would therefore advise you to send your Tax Return form and the information as soon as possible in order to allow sufficient time in case any queries arise in preparing your Return.

Consequential Loss of Profits - Is Your Business Insured?

One point to come out following the devastating floods at the Cornish village of Boscastle last month, is the question of whether the local traders are covered by insurance for loss of profits resulting from the temporary closure of their businesses.
