How to use it - enter the loan amount, the APR (annual percentage rate) and the period of the loan into the on-screen boxes, and hit the 'submit' button. There is also a nominal interest rate / APR two-way converter on this page, so if you only have the nominal interest rate, you can find out the APR to enter into the APR box. You can also use the calculator to find out how much you can borrow at a particular APR on a fixed monthly budget, by using trial and error until you arrive at the required monthly repayment amount and the required period of the loan.
