Fund firm insider prefers to control her own money

GEORGINA PARDOE, 27, is in the process of setting up a Sipp with the help of I-Sipp, a specialist adviser. As marketing manager at a fund-management firm, she was attracted by the idea of having greater control over her investments. Georgina, who lives in London, said “I like the idea of being able to invest in funds run by my company, Neptune Investment Management.

Using a Sipp will also make it easier for me to monitor performance, which is increasingly important as my contributions rise.” Georgina also likes the extra flexibility offered by Sipps and the more transparent charging structure. She said “Sipps seem easier to understand than traditional pensions and I feel they offer the best way to make sure my finances are on track – especially as I can benefit from staff rates on the Neptune Fund charges.”
