PA to Partner – ACA or ACCA Qualified

We have a rare and excellent opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant to join us as PA to one of our partners, who due to his fast-expanding client base, needs to delegate some responsibilities and share his client work.

This newly-created role will include:

• Correspondence, conversations and meetings with clients;
• Preparation of 'simple' accounts from time to time, especially property management accounts, which is an area of specialisation within this partner's wider portfolio;
• Supervision and review of accounts preparation and audit work;
• Preparation of management accounts for a select number of clients;
• Statutory work for limited company clients, including more demanding assignments for property management companies;
• One-off assignments, including due diligence work and other special projects.
• Information gathering;
• Problem solving.

This role will suit somebody recently qualified and looking for a wide variety of experience and long-term career prospects in a well-established, modern firm, which has a history of promoting from within.

You must be:

• Reliable, honest and trustworthy;
• Personable;
• A good communicator;
• Hands-on and prepared to 'roll your sleeves up'.
• Able to work under pressure.

You will often be working alongside a senior tax PA, so tax experience is useful, but not essential.

An excellent salary will be offered to the successful candidate, and there are genuine prospects for promotion to partner level.

Audit semi-senior

We have a vacancy in our audit department for a bright, enthusiastic semi-senior, to deal with audit and accounting assignments.

Our audit and accounting team comprises 11 people, and our total staff complement is around 40. We are an Investor In People and fully support professional study, and we also provide structured training both in-house and externally.

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience in practice. You might be part-qualified but this is not essential.  Most important is the potential to acquire and demonstrate good technical ability.

We require someone who is pro-active, able to work under pressure and to deadlines. You must have good communication and inter-personal skills, and must be reliable and efficient.
Your duties will include:

• Preparing and auditing year end accounts;
• Preparing management accounts;
• Assisting with bookkeeping assignments.

The successful candidate must be computer literate. Knowledge of Sage and MYOB Viztopia Accounts Production is an advantage but not essential.
